Sneak Peak of Sailor Made with Mirelle Luecke

Get a sneak peek into the upcoming exhibit “Sailor Made: Folk Art of the Sea.” Drawing from the collection of Mystic Seaport Museum and highlighting many artifacts long hidden from public view, the exhibit will feature art created by sailors at sea, including scrimshaw, fancy knot-work, embroidery, and drawings from journals. In this talk, Luce Project curator Dr. Mirelle Luecke shares the fascinating stories of some of the artifacts and the mariners who made them.
